LEKKU-FII, a subsidiary of Focus Investment Group, is a Senegalese company operating in agricultural production and large-scale distribution to address the multiple challenges related to consumption in Senegal.
In the start-up phase, Focus Investment Group and its partners initiated and supported LEKKU-FII’s ambitious development plan. The mission of this subsidiary is to ensure the production and distribution of top-quality products, thereby providing strong leverage in our efforts to achieve national food sustainability.
Upstream, LEKKU-FII is strategically positioned in the production, packaging, and processing of “origine Sénégal” horticultural products, thereby setting itself apart from other supermarket brands. With a greenhouse operation starting up in 2024, the company offers a wide range of high-quality fruit and vegetables based on farming practices that meet local and international standards.
Downstream, the company is developing a distribution network through a chain of commercial complexes including supermarkets, banks, shops, and restaurants throughout the country. The holy city of Touba is the starting point for LEKKU-FII’s roll-out, with a complex built over a total area of 4,000 m2, with more than 1,700 m2 of sales area.
“We are extremely enthusiastic about the launch of our activities and the deployment of the LEKKU-FII brand in Senegal. We aim to make LEKKU-FII a local champion in terms of economic development, job creation and social impact. Our commitment will be reflected in the support we provide to our local producers, particularly women’s organisations, to help them develop their activities so that prosperity can be shared by all sections of society,” said the CEO, Alioune Palla Correa.
In its expansion phase, LEKKU-FII plans to strengthen the positioning of its network of commercial complexes across the country through 10 openings over the period 2024-2027 with the support of a management team capitalising on more than 40 years’ experience in agricultural production and large-scale distribution.
